Help Mindil Beach Markets Complete Their 2nd Album

Help us finance the completion of our 2nd full length album.

Our Story

We are Mindil Beach Markets from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.  For the past 3 and a half years we have been persuing our dream of becoming self sustaining musicians in a struggling industry.  It's been an incredible journey and we've loved every minute of it.  We've met a ton of cool people and made some amazing friends along the way.  This winter we started work on our 2nd full length album.  We were lucky enough to connect with up and coming producer/engineer, Sean Carrie, and the work we've done on the album thusfar is sounding so awesome.  We're so excited to share this record with all of you.  That being said, recording music is a massively expensive undertaking and we need a some financial help to mix and master the record.  So we're reaching out to our fans, friends and family, all of whom have been incredibly supportive these past three years.  We sincerely appreciate all that you've done for us and look forward to taking this next leg of the journey with you.

The Impact

The truth is, if we don't raise this money, we'll still have to find some way to finish the record.  Based on our low incomes, we've been denied lines of credit.  Our only other option is to take out a bank loan and rack up a ton of interest - a scary thought considering each of us are already in debt.  We've worked very hard on a marketing plan for this record.  Based on our plan and the quality of the music, we strongly feel that this record will take our band to the next level.

Some of you may have heard of our environmental initiative, The Jellyfish Project.  I recommend you check it out here -> http://www.mindilbeachmarkets.com/jellyfish-pro...  We've donated our time at a number of BC high schools, performing for the students and discussing ocean health and sustainability.  It's been so rewarding and the students we've met have been an inspiration.  If we do complete the project, we are going to donate 20% of our first month of album sales to the Vancouver Aquarium for ocean sustainability education.
